Here is my Rolex 24 gallery. I was assigned everything but racing, however I still managed to shoot a few laps.

Great shots. Excellent catch on the C7R's brakes locking up.

Really really nice shots. What do you use for your set-up?

Thanks. I used a 5D Mark III, 400 f/2.8, 200 f/2.8 and a 24-105 f/4.

Nice! I got the chance to go to the 24 a few years ago. My night shots didn't look quite like that, but regardless, it was a blast. I learned as a spectator without a photo vest, your best friend is a small step-stool to see over the fences.

This was my 1st year with a press pass normally I am shooting over the fence with my step ladder too! For the night shot equipment really makes all the difference.

Very nice. Well done. I am forwarding this to a friend who asked what sports car racing was. (he only knows what traditional NASCAR is). Thanks for the great photos.

I totally understand that you need to protect your brand but if there were one or two images that one would like for wallpaper could we implore you to get them?

I would love to but I can't. Since I work for ISC they technically own them. I can only use the for my portfolio and I can't sell them or give them away because ISC sells them at http://www.motorsportsarchives.com .

Great shots! I really like the low perspective you took the night shots of the chicane(?) from.

I'd love to have a 400 f2.8 for my D90....dat lenz.

Thanks! The 400 2.8 is great! I have one photo from the chicane most are from the West Horseshoe and the turn from the road corse to Nascar 1.

I bet. Since my trek to the 24, I bought a "beginner" SLR. I have wanted to go back and try again really bad. A little closer to home, there is a SCCA club endurance race that runs from day into night. I was figuring to get some practice there too. I know part is getting familiar with the camera and glass you have, but baseline, where would you start for night shots?

I would look for the part of the track with the most light. Experiment with panning, if you can get be smooth enough to be sharp its better to use low shutter speed than high ISO to get a good exposure. With many beginner cameras high ISO create a lot of noise.

Sweet! I will definitely file that in the memory bank.

So it's looks like you live in Florida? Go to any other races throughout the year? I work with SCCA Pro, and we have a few races to kick off the season down that way and I was wondering if I might see you at the track.

Yeah I go to quite a few. I have been shooting for Daytona International Speedway so as long as they keep having me back ill be shooting the races there. I also normally go to Sebring every year on my own time but I am not sure if it is in the budget this year.
